"Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22

One of the biggest struggles that men face is that of lust and particularly the struggle with pornography in our modern age. We must flee from sexual sin. We must make our bodies submit. It is not easy and takes a great amount of prayer, intentionality, and accountability. Below is a list of great resources to help start in that fight.

  • Proven Men Ministries - Are you struggling with pornography,  masturbation, or sexual addiction? Perhaps you are fighting against every sexual temptation coming your way. But you’re not alone in this fight! We’ve been there too and there is hope in Christ. We encourage you to find a friend to do the study with you and focus on the truth of Isaiah 41:10, “It is time to stop relying on your own strength. It is time to rely upon the strength of the Lord.” There is hope!

  • “Freedom in the Fight” – Recovery is for everyone. We all wrestle with something that robs us of joy, peace, and authentic life. We all struggle, but we don't need to live in slavery. In following Christ, we can know freedom in the fight. Freedom in the Fight is a 365-day devotional meant to challenge and encourage us on our daily walk.  Drawing from personal experience with drug addiction, Scott writes on faith and recovery, relating those topics to the common struggles we all share. With each devotion Scott helps us reflect on Gods word and apply it to our lives.

  • “Freedom Starts Today” – Every church is filled with people who are struggling--often secretly--with addictions of all kinds. Porn, pills, food, money, alcohol, social media, body image, status, sex, anxiety--the list goes on and on. John Elmore is no stranger to addiction. Fifteen years ago, he put a loaded shotgun to his head and later had three doctors tell him he was going to die of alcoholism. More than 15 sober years later, he leads the world's largest weekly recovery gathering, re:generation, where people journey toward healing in Christ.

  • “Hazards of Being a Man” – This is a book for every young man! The problems men face today are not new; they have been around since the time of the Bible. Insensitivity, lust, individualism, absence, manipulation, unresolved anger--even a cursory study of Bible characters will expose all of these moral and emotional battles. Jeffrey E. Miller challenges men to acknowledge their common struggles and weaknesses to help them become better men.
