"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
There is an epidemic currently of scripture illiteracy.
We are using sources that are meant to be supplemental as our primary source of truth.
Instagram posts. Blog Posts (this included). YouTube Videos. Sermons. All of that is meant to supplicate the scripture.
We need to be a generation, a nation, call it what you want, we need to be a people who are pouring over the scriptures and letting that determine our worldview.
I think far too often people are reading the bible through the lens of their already formed worldview, and thus, the bible is taken out of context and is applied how they want it to be applied to situations.
We need to devour The Word and let it be the source of our worldview. There is a big difference between those two.
So that's it. That's the post. I can't teach or say anything other then, Read your bible.
Honestly, if you have only enough time in your day to read one thing, (First I will call you a liar) then second I will say stop reading this and open your bible. It is our source of truth, open it and find truth.
I don't mean if you're feeling nervous then google: Verses about anxiety and read an article "35 Verses about Anxiety." I mean daily open up the bible, take notes, spend time with the Lord.
It will change your life.
